Red spot, used to be a pimple, won't go away

I have a red spot on my cheek that has been there for about 3 months. It used to be a pimple, and I think I popped it but it came back. Now, there is no bump at all and it feels the same as the skin around it, but it's still a red spot.
I started...

using proactiv right before this pimple showed up, and it didn't do much for my face, but I'm still using it anyway. I don't know if it's infected, or a scar, or something else, so I don't know how to treat it. Any suggestions?

that happens when you pop pimples..it takes a VERY long time to go away...in the mean time use concealer and don't pop ANY more pimples...u don't want acne scars when your older
