My favorite song I've heard lately is from Baby Bash, the Cyclone one. I listen to a couple of local Rap / RB radio stations, and they play a lot of the usual stuff, kanya west, t payne, TI, etc. It's all good.

My favorites are old school like A tribe called Quest and Leaders of the new school.
I like some modern British ones too like Surreal Knowledge, the Streets, and 3Amigos

And I like some other ones like Ill Harmonics, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Cypress Hill, and Lauryn Hill
