It depends -

First) If a regular member puts a website it will show up as regular text but if an advisor puts a link it shows up like this: www.funadvice.com
Reason being - the site wants to make sure the sites that are clickable are helpful to the askers question. We don't want people advertising websites, giving people links to sites full of viruses, etc.

Second) We don't remove answers that are a link unless the link is going somewhere like; a social networking site, a search engine, another ask/answer site, if they have nothing to do with what's being asked, etc.

Third) We don't allow links in questions unless they are linking to another part of FunAdvice, this rule applies to every user on FunAdvice and there will be -no- exceptions.

You can't use a link to another site as a question, or use the question as a means to direct people to another site.

You can ask questions like what background should I use on Myspace, but not how do I put a background on Myspace (the difference being - we are not here to help you with Myspace issues - they have their own people for that)

You can use a link in an answer as long as you at least try to give a valid reply.
