Because a British accent isn't something we're used to hearing. So we LOVE when we do hear one. You hear the accent everyday so it's nothing new to you. But I'm sure if you heard my accent (I apparently have one) it'd sound different. People just like hearing people who speak with a different accent.
I personally LOVE Australian accents. :D Can't go wrong with an Australian accent. xP
Because we don't get to hear the Brittish accent everyday and pluss, we can understand it.
I personally love the Brittish accent for I find it quite neat and cool! You might find my accent to be cool but, who knows. I not only love the Brittish accent, I love our Southern American accent. I love the Southern drawl since I find that cool also.
