Question about god

I've never been overly religious,always been a non-believer and I've always blamed god for the things that happen to me, like my parents divorcing etc, now I've realised its nobodies fault but its just the way that things happen, But I've also come to...

realise how comforting the idea of knowing god is watching over you is, would god still accept me or will he never forgive me for the things I've said about God, basically is it too late to convert and start believin

This is what I know to be true and again, it's never too late to ask Him to come into your Heart - God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn't good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God's great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn't have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it's so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God's free gift to man - Jesus...Hope this helps you !!

 

who is God? where is God?

The answers to those two questions depend upon what religious faith you accept as valid -- and there are many to choose from!

in my opinion

1. God created/caused our spirits (entities) along with the universe to come into being. God established the purpose for it all but doesn't involve Its self in the continuance or activities of same.

2. Sin is man's concept and is utilized by men to control other men. The human caused negative events that take place are circumstances that are considered by us in the non-life experience between incarnations as we evaluate the successes and failures we made as we attempted to achieve our goals during our incarnations.

3. The Bible (and similar religious books) is a necessary concoction created by man to control man and his environment. It was necessary because mankind, in its infancy, did not have the medical and technological knowledge to conquer and understand its environment so had to be controlled by superstitions which were found to save lives and further the survivability of the various human societies.

Why did God make the world?

in my opinion, God diversified Itself into Its many parts and charged those parts (entities) to go forth and acquire knowledge and experience and to then return to the Oneness of God.

The entities caused the creation of the universe and everything therein and individually choose to inhabit the physical bodies.

The entities may incarnate/reincarnate many times before gravitating back into the Oneness of God.

SPECULATIONS

Speculation: 1 Is God necessary?

Yes!

There has to be a Source from which the big bang sprang forth Creating the universe.

Speculation: 2 What is God?

God is the ultimate Cause.

God is the Creative Entity, Energy or Force from which all is derived.

Speculation: 3 Where is God?

God is in a state of awareness that is outside the universe.

God has morphed part of Itself into those entities (spirits) that inhabit the universe and the physical bodies within.

Speculation: 4 Why is God?

God Is because God Is.

God is eternal, existing independent of time or the universe.

Speculation: 5 Is God concerned?

No!

God is not concerned with the daily functioning of the universe or matters within it. That is our domain and subject to our whim.

Speculation: 6 What are we?

We are the spirits (entities) of God.

God morphed into Us and we continue to create according to God's purpose.

Our physical bodies are simply the means we use to experience and function in the physical dimension.

Speculation: 7 Why are we?

We are for the purpose of gaining knowledge and experience.

In the end, we gravitate back into the Oneness of God allowing for the fulfillment of God.

Speculation: 8 Evolution

Evolution is simply a tool of Creation.

The entities often influence the direction of evolution along desired paths.

From my chosen path I stray,

Im not religious but apparently god is really forgiving so I geuss hed be happy since your following him now. better late than never!

how can you blame someone you clearly dont believe in? Not having a go at you or anything but its not really inderstandable. is your family religous. im not so im not judging you on that.

I personally do not believe in God or any religion, but I know a lot about religion/theology and it is based on the premise that as long as you do something to prove you are worthy and changed and full of faith (it is different for each religion what you have to do), then God will accept you and you will live with the peace of knowing that when you die you will go on to eternal heaven. Like I said I do not believe in that personally but I do know that for people who do believe it is only too late if you die before turning your life over.

Of course God will forgive you. It's as easy as asking. He knew before you were born how long it would take for you to turn to him. It's as easy as praying.

I dont particularly believe in any religion, but I do believe in the concept of God. And its never too late to believe... Also I dont believe God forgives because to forgive there must have been a bad will to begin with, and I dont think God has petty human emotions such as bad feelings...

I don't get it. On one had you say you were a non-beiever. On the other hand you say you blamed your problems on God.

I think more likely you are a luke warm believer in God who has never really thought about your worldview much yet.

At this point my advice would be to study comparative religion. Read some books about comparative religion and further read books on particular religions that interest you read books by rationalists and skeptics as well. Make whatever worldview you end up with an educated choice.

You can curse God you can deny him you can do all the things he tells you not to do but if you realze that all of that is rong and you really want to get to know him (because God isnt about religion its about a relationship) he will always be there to forgive you no matter what!

IT MAKES HIM THE HAPPIEST FATHER IN THE WORLD!!!

I said I believe in God.
I dont have to believe God has feelings and feels bad when people dont believe in God do I?
I dont have to believe we require forgiveness from a God who is beyond human emotions
People who wrote the books couldnt think beyond human emotions so they made God into a big all powerful invisible human, who gets angry when we sin, happy when we do good, and basically created us for narcissistic reasons.
That is not my problem if everyone else believes that.
I do not have to believe that or any other religion for that matter.
Maybe I dont have all the answers. But I dont need all the answers. And I dont need to attach myself to a religion that pretends to have all the answers either.

Suppose for a moment there is an all powerful self sufficient being out there. What makes you think it would even care that you said bad things about it? People make their gods sound more immature than 4 year olds.

Well, I think the Bible is full of people starting off with Jesus and/or God, doing something to let them down, wondering if they could ever be forgiven...

And they all are forgiven.

I really don't think you've done anything worse than most of us here, and you're certainly likely to have been better behaved towards God than Peter (denied Jesus three times at his trial) and Paul (persecuted Christians in God's name) and look where they ended up - leaders of the church!

So God not only forgives and gives a second chance to everyone and anyone who turns to Jesus, He also has some really exciting stuff planned for them!
