why does my puppy cry when I leave the room? he has been here a week, he plays alot
and is happy.

i agree he is attached to u and he like to play when your around your his only real friend as far as he understands

Puppies don't like being alone and when you leave him they cry in hope that you'll come back. You need to be patient. In time he will learn to be alone and sit quietly waiting for you to come back. The important thing is that you take good care of him, play with him and spend time with him.

You need to teach the puppy to be alone. At first they don't like being alone. And you have to train them. So first you leave the room for 5 minutes, when it gets used to it, leave for 10 minutes, then 15, and so on. Remember that you can't leave ANY dog alone for more than 4 hours. Good luck!
