Publishing genetic disorders...

Us Asked by jess563029 about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I was wondering how I could go about trying to get a genetic disorder (Trisomy 18...aka Edward's Syndrome) into child development books, courses, etc.

My cousin was just diagnosed at 33 weeks, and was completely devastated. Normally, women are...

diagnosed earlier, but this went unseen for some odd reason.

It just seems that this disorder is rarely mentioned, but isn't as uncommon as people may think. I want to help her put her word out there, along with tons of other families who have gone through or are currently going through this . It would help her feel at ease (in some sense) if more people were educated about this so they aren't completely thrown if they are ever diagnosed.

Even putting it here helps a tiny bit, but how can she reach further?

So is it possible...without having to write and publish your own book??

Thanks so much!
Jess

I know here in my town when people want to bring up things like this that you don't here about often, they usually write about it in the newspaper or even a magazine article. I think she should look into it.
