Hi toosexy,
PSP looks sleeker, smaller and has memory card capabilities. If I had to choose one, I'd get it.
Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Last I checked the PSP was more expensive than the DS ($200 vs $130). At first PSP games seemed to be more expensive than DS games but now prices seem to be about the same or even higher for the DS.
Sony using their usual bag of tricks made everything propriatory. Games and videos come on UMD discs that don't work in anything else. Instead of using a common memory card that most people already have like SD or CF they make you buy Memory Stick Duo cards.
The DS has dual screens which is nice for some games; it also allows stylus input. The PSP has an amazingly good 4.5' wide screen that makes games look great. You can buy videos for the PSP in UMD format but they are more expensive than DVDs and will only play on the PSP (what was Sony thinking?). There is software out there to rip DVDs to memory cards to watch on the PSP. This seems like the better option but it doesn't always work and is usually tricky.
As I understand it a DS system has a slot for Game Boy Advance games. If you already have some of these games and you still like playing them this might be a selling point for you. My daughter has a Game Boy Advance so if her unit died I'd probably upgrade her to a DS.
Both units can surf the web. The PSP's browser isn't very good though. Text entery is downright painful (even worse than on most cell phones). Many sites refuse to load because they run the PSP out of memory. Since opera is available for the DS my guess is that from a web surfing point of view the DS would be far superior to the PSP.
Personally I went with the Sony PSP. The screen is big and gorgeous and the graphics exceed anything I thought was available on a portable system.
if you are looking for things to do besides game then yes go with the PSP. but if you want high quaility gaming choose the DS. Personally I love the DS, and game critics would choose the DS over PSP any day. check Game Informer and X-Play reviews.
PSP is a way better console less interactive though, but there are pleanty of advantages it can store and play games and music through the memory card, pluss the conectivity between psp and ps3 is amazing
I have both and I like my Ds Lite a lot better. It has better games to choose from. Yeah the psp can go on the net and play movies but who wants to watch a 2 hour movie on such a small screen. I'd go for a DS Lite. Mario Kart is a hell of a lot of fun and pokemon is coming out pretty soon. (I know I'm 17 but pokemon got me into video games in the first place)
I like ds more than psp and the touch pad makes the ds even better so I would go w/ the ds it is also less $
sony spent more time and money making the psp and ds doesnt have gta
PSP is better, it has movies, pictures, games and musics, if Nintendo DS is more fun but it only had games abd chattings.
I want to put a photo
me, I say you would have to go wit psp, unless you are a person who cannot play video games that well and prefer a easier system then go with the ds, but if you like challenging games, and better graphics AND you like to do a lot more than just to play games then go with the psp

psp cause it has enter net contection
I have a PSP, but I've always had more fun playing with a DS!
DS all the way! I'm playing mine right now. Sure, PSP has it's advantages, but not in gaming. DS is more suitabloe for you if you want to do anthing except gaming.
yup ds! you can play any type of game the 1s that are specially designed 4 them and the 1s that are for those hand held 1s.
PSP is way better than Nintendo DS From GameWorldMaster!!
the psp,the mothinf*ckin psp no matter what ill get the psp if I want to
I think playstation graphics go harder... nintendo DS games are more fun though. thats what I thought about N64 and PS1 back in the day too
The DS is so much better in my opinion.
I'd love to have a PSP though.
Depends. I grew up playing a nintendo, but then it broke. So I got a ds and got the games I had, well... some.
if youre up for straight gaming get the ds
plus you learn stuff (yay?)
but if you like the variety get the psp
I have a ds and I like it but I also dont use it all the time
I have other consoles
if you have any questions funmail me
if you want something thats more fun, get a DS ! I have a DS, and besides, I think you do have a television in your livingroom! lol no need to go aound with movies in such a huge thing as a PSP!! get an ipod and put your songs, and movies in it!
it's much smaller and you can carry it with your DS's bag! thats what I do! in my DS bag I have a small pocket for my ipod nano!

Which system is better, psp or nintendo ds?
Send me Fun Mail
Which game system is better, PSP or Nintendo DS? I'm having trouble deciding which one I want to get because I don't have enough money to just buy any old piece of crap.
