Proper english

Not nice to laugh at other's short comings Asked by ethmer 10 months ago, 3 answers.

I just heard on a TV commercial I feel more safe.

That sounds bad. Shouldn't it rather be I feel safe or I feel safer?

I feel safer definately sounds better, but I don't think I feel more safe is wrong - it's just an older style of english that we've long since abandoned.
