You've taken 10 tests? No way can ten tests be wrong. You are pregnant. The likely hood of one test giving a false positive is pretty low but 10 false positives? I'm sorry but you have to stop being in denial and get medical help as soon as possible.

I been trying for a while now with my husband to get pregnant so yeah I am in denial cause I dont want to get excited and find out its false. We do have two kids together already and both time I tested witht them both lines where really niticable so im just worried im going to get excited for nothing if this makes any sense at all. I mean all the trying we did we didnt have any luck and now we do!

I work in an emergency room/trauma center, and have been a paramedic for 12 years, so I'll tell you where I'm coming from with this info, ok? ASAP, make an apointment with your OB/GYN or local pregnancy center for medical confirmation, and for a check-up and/or ultrasound. You need to get on prenatal vitamins asap as well, and I know this is a lot to grasp all at once, but you need to decide for yourself whether you're ready or not for this big step. Aside from that...here's the answer to your question. You can have a false negative pregnancy test, if the woman is, indeed, NOT PREGNANT, or secondly, if the pregnancy is very early on, and the egg isn't putting off enough hormone levels to be detected by a urine, over-the-counter pregnancy test. Even so, a BLOOD test will show positive in as early as 2-3 days of egg implantation, believe it or not. (Mucho more sensitive.) Hang in with me, let me explain...there's a hormone that DOES NOT, repeat, DOES NOT naturally occur inside a womans body, called HCG. Thats the hormone I was referring to, just FYI. OK, anyhow, that's what the EGG puts out, and what the urine tests detect to set off that second line you're referring to. The first line is just a test line, to show you that the unit is functioning properly. If NO LINES show up...defective test, throw out, use another test. But, let me make this clear, and as concise as possible...that second line WILL NOT SHOW UNLESS IT DETECTS THE PREGNANCY HORMONE. Cannot, will not, no way, impossible. So...no matter how weak the line is coming up, its detecting HCG...and a pregnancy. Now, you need to take care of you first, take a breath, and make that Dr's appt ASAP, OK?
