Pregnancy and nipple?

People say that a early sign of pregnancy is dark nipples !

What I would like to know is do they go proper proper dark or just darker than they were before?

It's not the nipple you need to look at, it's the area around the nipple. The areola. Some darken significantly, and some only slightly.

It depends on the color to begin with...but as lanternoflight said it's not the actual nipple it's the areola...pink nipples normally get more of a brownish color and brown nipples get a little darker...but it also depends on the woman.
