Its not common to be pregnant,and have your period at the same time,because by definition,if you get your period while you are pregnant,this would mean that you are losing your baby,or having a miscarriage.Early pregnancy bleeding is common and many women report that they do bleed regularly during the early portion of their pregnancies. This is not at all a menstrual cycle though; it is usually referred to as early pregnancy bleeding,due to hormonal changes.If this is the case,it sitll should not be as heavy of a flow as it would if you were menstruating.

I'd recommend asking your doctor at your next appointment about this,and maybe get checked out.
