Don't worry. If your friend JUST found out she's pregnant, she should just be fine. I had a friend who smoked the first three months of her pregnancy (her periods are always irregular, she didn't know either), and she had a beautiful, healthy, baby. She should talk it over with her doctor if she's concerned, but she should be just fine. Just as long as she stops taking the pills.

My friend and I had been planning to start taking diet pills and eat healthy and work out at the beginning of the month, and see who would lose more weight within the month. It's the end of the month now, and I had no idea but she thinks she might be...
