Regular exercise, a healthy diet, and weight control are the cornerstone of treatment for PCOS. Sometimes, also using a medicine to balance hormones is helpful. This is a medical treatment, not just a lifestyle choice. Any additional treatments depend on whether you are planning a pregnancy. You can also use hormone therapy to help control your ovary hormones like birth control. Early diagnosis and treatment of PCOS prevents long-term complications, such as obesity, diabetes, and infertility.
GOOD LUCK!
This might be a little late, but I also have PCOS and the things that come along with it can be awful. Medications never helped much with me, and I am still trying different ones...But it is something that you should definitely talk with your doctor about.
Sometimes taking warm baths, or using a heating pad can soothe the discomfort. I know what you're talking about, and the thing that really worked for me was birth control, it cut down some of the symptoms and regulated things a bit for me, which in turn made things a little less painful.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome?
I have pcos, and every time I get a period [which isnt very often..], or anytime my body thinks I should be getting my period, my ovaries hurt, really bad... Does anyone else with pcos have this problem? Or know anything to do about it?
