Poltergeists, etc.

love is a joke. Asked by anko924 8 months ago, 4 answers.

ok.

so I have a friend. and she thinks her room is haunted by a ghost.
I'm not quite as certain. but she's got it in her head that ever since her cat died, this lost spirit has taken over her cat's body and is visiting her when she sleeps, leaving...

her with scratches on her arms legs and back that she didn't have when she went to bed.

I don't really know what to think. I do not believe in ghosts, but nevertheless, she's asked me to help her.
Does anyone know how to get rid of a ghost??

They don't exist - so there is no way to get rid of them Although, the mind is a very complex thing, if she believes in them, than she can also try things to get rid of them and eventually believe that they are really gone. Try cheesy things like Saunces - tell her that it will really work. If she believes it will - it will.

Many believe that said poltergeist activity is just the manifestation of the telekinetic ability of young adults and adolescents, released by emotional confusion or trauma. It could be that this friend of yours is simply abnormally extrasensorily perceptive and that these abilities have been enacted on his/herself by no volition of his/her own. The death of this friend's cat may have been the trauma that triggered the release of these abilities. Just some food for thought.

did as a sketch a while ago, a friend digitized it. Answered by chips on Mar 03, 2009, 07:34PM

I've never heard of a ghost cat, so I don't think that it is a legitimately a ghost. Animals don't have souls.
