Hi,

As well as trading with each other, Pokémon Red and Blue can trade Pokémon between the second generation of Pokémon games (Pokémon Gold and Silver and Pokémon Crystal).

Hope that helps!

No they meant the new Fire Red not the original Red Version prkswllflwr, I dont think you can trade between the two games as I remember when I tried trading between Gold and Blue originally It wouldnt let me because of the New Abilities and attacks that you get in the newer ones although you may be able to Get A Pokemon without new abilities and attacks but then again in retrospect why would you keep it in the new one if it was gay and only used original attacks...lol But try it

Yes pokemon silver can trade with fire red. it just depends where in fire red you are up to and if you can get the new generation of pokemon from silver. once you get to the sevi island you can trade between them. bye.

Unfortunately you can't. This is because of the different generations. The generations is defined by the series... Series one was Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander, series 2 was Chikorita, Totodile, and Cyndiquil, Series 3 was Treeko, Mudkip, and Torchic, and series four is Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar.
You can't trade because of the different pokemon, different moves, and different systems. Although you could trade Silver to Blue version, you had the option of deleting moves, and not to mention it was both through gameboy colors. Though Silver can be played in a gameboy sp/advance... Firered/Leafgreen, Ruby and sapphire can't be played in a gameboycolor... To be honest, its how they (nintendo) intend to make more money... Hope this is helpful=)
