Can I like rock music if I believe in God and care for animals?

I think the big concern with listening to certain types of music are the message the lyrics send. their are TONs of metal christian bands. be careful with any music you listen to, no matter what you believe. I know when I listen to alice in chains for three days, I'm not the cheeriest person to be around.
