I am on probation in licking county. I am a convicted felon. My future seems hopeless. I'm only 31. I'm looking for a job in Ohio. Can anyone help? I'm also a girl.

I can't really tell you where to go, because I don't live there, but I can offer you my word.
No matter how dark everything seems, keep going. In the end, it's worth it.

Even though now you feel helpless and out of luck, if you help yourself you can turn your whole life around. I wish you the best of luck.

Ok so I am not a convicted person mtself but I do know a few who ave been in jail. Some went back to the same old criminal life staight away, many went back to that after not being able to get a job with their conviction, and a few managed to do this.
None of the people that I know actually got a job straight away.

My advice is to try at the sh*tty places that don't care and that you will probably hate and dread anyway. Like Mc Donlads. They don't seem to care much. Or picking fruit or berries but the prob with that is its not an hourly paid job and you got to do it all day just to break even with living costs. Try supermarkets and fast foods.

After a year or so, look for a job you have a qualification in, or experience in. The fact that you worked for a year without trouble should gve the impression that you are now a good person who has learnt lifes lessons the hard ways. Make sure you are ALWAYS in time for work, preferably early. NEVER EVER LATE!!! Also actually pour your heart and soul into this. Might seem depressing but just think at what you can do once you have done it!

Thats all I have to offer, hope you get a decent job soon! It's hard to employ people who have been in prison. The fact is, the prison, is not the only punishment. It will scar you for life. That is brutal honesty there.
