How to have a fun wedding reception?

my partner and I recently went to his cousins wedding and it was so boring I literally fell asleep, oops. So seeing as we are getting married soon and are both fun, spontanious people we want to have a wedding reception that everyone will love and...

remember. So if anyone has any ideas on how to make it fun, funny and enjoyable for everyone please let me know, open to all suggestions.

Make sure the speaches are funny and not too long. Sit people with others of the same humour etc. Congrats on the wedding xx

have a comedian act at the reception, lots of drinks and play games. it sounds sad, but when everyones pissed it will be funny, and no doubt they will join in lol

Well I just recently attended a wedding in my family and they had a dance contest. It didn't start out as a contest, but ended up that way. It was really fun to see them all out there trying to outdo each other. And also you can start a conga line and snake all thru the reception,hall. That is lots of fun and most of the people will join in

well I would suggest that you dont have the traditional long long long talking about love and every thing else before you even get to say I DO make it short sweet and add a lil humor... write your own vows... and try to include everyone maybe have your guests do a lil something special during the ceremony... congrats on the wedding and I hope its fun let me know how things turn out... dont forget to take lots and lots of pictures...
