What product is good for dying platinum blonde?

My boyfriend has been asking me to add a blonde streak to his dyed-black hair. I'd love to, but I'm worried it will turn out a strange color? He wants very light blonde, not a yellow or orange tinge to it. I've done blonde streaks before but never platinum. So I'll need to bleach it, and then add a white/platinum dye, right? Any products you would recommend or that I should avoid? I've been looking at Manic Panic, but I don't know how well it works... Help??

Well first off black with platinum/white causes a green tone to the middles and needs extremely high maintenance because when it grows out...it will look beyond dispicible if you ignore maintenance. Manic-Panic might work because of the 40-peroxide power with the sodium silicate , and bleach powder. Just remember maintenance as I said before.
