Joining Amazon is a convenience...you don't recieve any spam or anything from there...I've always had great experiences buying from Amazon...How come you're afraid to sign up at either the Barnes and Nobles or the Amazon sites? They're both very legit.

Why does it HAVE to be new? I would suggest craigslist, but ewww, then it would be used! Oh no! Big deal. Buy a used copy on craigslist.

no
your not going to find anything without signing up
to buy something from a website you need to cretae an account
creating an account lets them know your hopefully a real person, from this account they can use the information you provide to send you the item.
no place just sells things to just random people who buy it and then send money to there address/bank account
thats not how an online buisness works
and thats not somwthing that makes the customers feel safe to buy it from them either
creating an account isnt a convinience
to use this website you had to cretae an account, to show your a person and what kind of person you are
same thing happens with almost every other website
especially ones that sell things
otherwise they have nothing to track you with, so if soemthing goes wrong
they wouldnt be able to help you because you have no proof of buying it
