it all depend on how far in advance you buy the tickets I travel alott and you wanna but it as far out as you can that way you get the best prices cause a ticket can jump from $200 to $600 over night so if you see a good price you should jump on it. cheapoair.com is a really good website to get tickets.

Look at Southwest -- great fares and many direct flights. I just went from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Raleigh, NC for under $200.
