How to lead my dogs to mate?

I believe my dog is in heat her vagina is swollen, but my male isn’t showing any interest in mating. What can I do since I really would love some puppies from them?

Geeezzz!! Serriously everyone needs to CHILL!! Obviously, there are too many dogs in shelters, but this dosen’t have anything to do with what the person is asking. Maybe they want to keep the whole litter! If someone wants their dogs to have puppies, after doing some responsible researching, than that’s totally fine!! Anyways… well each female has their “fertile” week differently. Some may have it two weeks after showing sings of being in heat and some may have it after a week. You can usually tell because the girl will start showing sings (She may become a little “flirtatious”) and that is when your male dog will start becoming more “attracted” to her. Observe your female’s heat cycles and you will soon learn her what her individual cycle is and what kind of sings she may show.

Hope I was of help :)

there enough dogs to many are being killed there are no homes for them.even if you find homes for your pups a pup from the shelters get killed.if you want a puppy cause you miss haveing a puppy please adopt…

THANK YOU prkswllflwr and katydid747… If you’re thinking of having puppies, JUST BECAUSE you want to…don’t allow it. Your motive is selfish. As prkswllflwr said, they put millions upon millions of puppies and dogs to death every year…why contribute to that nasty legacy???

well… dogs are in heat for about 3 weeks. the time to mate is the second week. that could be why he isn’t showing interest. I wouldn’t breed your dogs unless you already know of people who want puppies. no use in having puppies if you plan on taking them to a shelter.

Answer #5

Just keep them in a room together and see what happens. Also has your female dog gotten out lately because if the male isnt showing sighns it may not be him who is the “father”

Answer #6

Just wondering…you’d love puppies from them…so are you planning on keeping the whole litter?

If not, I hate to say it…but you’ll have to find homes for all the puppies. If you can’t, you’ll have to take them to a shelter where they will be possibly put to sleep (between 2 and 4 millions dogs and cats are put to sleep every year for space). And if you DO find homes, you’re taking those homes away from puppies that are already born and looking for loving homes.

Please just think about it before you have a litter :)

people are so vindictive when it comes to butting into other pplz business! all this question asked was “how do I mate my dogs”..not “should I mate my dogs?”, or “what are the reasons why I shouldn’t mate my dogs?” if your not going to answer the question, then why “post your answer!” ?!… c’mon!

Answer #8

I have a boxer stud I want to mate. How do I get on a mateing list or is there one?

Answer #9

stop posting your own opinions on a question first of all! if he wants to have puppies and thats the question is how to..dont start assuming things that could be not true. if you dont know the answer than stop wasting my time reading your dumb bs answers cause I could careless what you have to say and I bet he doesnt also.
