Hey I babysat for a few kids who went to private schools, and they said they could only wear earrings in their earlobes. My sister in law has the "monroe" piercing, I believe (the big barbell that goes from the top of the ear to the side of the ear??) And she said it is the most painful piercing she's ever had (she's also had her tongue, and belly button pierced) And she also said that it hurts the longest. You should consider waiting until college, because those piercings are pretty expensive to get and have to have them taken out immediately after

well I go to a private school and a lot of people have piercings but they have to take them out for school. We are only allowed a 'simple' stud in the earlobes. My schools rules are unbelivably crazy.

It depends which school.

I go to a private school, and I think I might have seen somebody with a nose ring.

private schools do have rules about piercings , if your talking about a nose ring well if its a stud get a clear one but if its a slipper I would take it out.
what you can do is when you have your 1st day there ask sum of the students about piercing rules...each school is different so do rules so its best 2 do your research or you could just get the piercing and turn up 2 school with it and c what happens!

Most private schools have ridiculous over - the - top rules. My school is included =]
We are only allowed one stud in each ear lobe, it has to be really small. If we have any tragus, cartilage, nose, monroe piercings we get sent home with a letter/phone call to parents. The boys can wear earrings, but they are only allowed to wear one in each earlobe, not just one in one earlobe..It's strange. I'll never understand my head teacher's rules lol
So yeaa.. I'll doubt you'll be able to have your monroe piercing..

I go to a private all girl's school and they are against all facial piercings.. I just recently got a monroe piercing and I have to get it taken out.. I am going to get a clear one. The monroe piercing hardly hurt. They put a clamp aboce my lip and the needle went straight in. I hardly felt it.. People say it is a painless piercing.
