Shall I get my tongue pierced?

soo like I'm thinking about getting my tongue piercedd for my 16th birthdayy.
howww much does that usually cost?

It won't hurt too much. My brother got his toungue pierced.The only thing that really happened was he had a HORRIBLE lisp for a week or so.

There are a few risks as with any piercing. But if you're thinking of getting it done, I assume you understand this.

As to how much it costs? Find out where you would go to get it done and ask how much. Do make sure that the place has a good reputation and they keep needles clean.

HINT: If you walk in and the place is disgusting, I wouldn't go there. I know, just because the store is dirty doesn't mean they don't keep supplies clean. But, wouldn't you feel better about it if the place was clean instead od dirty and cluttered?

I had my tongue pierced and I really liked it. if you do have it done, make sure it's done at a qualified establishment. I know a friend who had it done and basically he nearly lost his tongue.!!! also it's the fastest healing muscle in the body so if you dont like it, the hole wont be there for long!

Getting your tongue pierced isn't good for the enamel on your teeth. It scrapes it off. My dentist yelled at my brother for it...=I It depends where you go though. There's a few places around where we live and my brother paid 45 bucks. I guess cheaper and a little more.

I got mine a little over a year ago. And First of all I paid 40 bucks at a tattoo place. I do enjoy it. And when it comes to ruining your teeth, if you're someone that's going to mess with it a lot then just get 'plastic' or acrylic balls on the ends. You can get acrylic bars too, but the balls are hard to screw onto them. I don't know what to call the screw on ends other than balls so deal lol.

But most importantly, make sure you get it by a professional or at least someone that has done it for a while. I suggest not to, but I know I was about to so just be safe, make sure the tools are brand new/make sure they open it (the needle) in front of you. But a little anecdote, I knew a girl who got it from a guy who did it a lot, and her tongue turned purple. So try to go to a pro.
