Tattooing- Prohibits anyone from tattooing a minor under age 18.
Body Piercing-Prohibits anyone from piercing any part of a minor under age 18 other than the ears without the prior consent of the custodial parent.

the legal age is 18 on both in NC and most shops won't even allow people under the age of 18 to even be inside a place that does these as well.

hey everybody. I have a rather stupid and embarrasing but pressing question.
does anybody know the age you can get a tattoo/piercing without parental consent in the state of north carolina?
you see,I've heard it was 18 w/proof of ID but I'm not so...
shure and I got some piercings done a few months ago and just old them I was 18 and they took my word for it.
reson im asking is I want to get a tattoo done but I havent got my liscence yet [[I know audible gasp here]] and I need to know if I can go and get it done now or if I need to get my liscence fisrt.
