Period won't start

my period is a week late already and no signs of starting anytime soon. Except that I was spotting 2 days ago in the morning but after that, it stopped.
I took a pregnancy test but it came back negative.
So whats the deal?

go to the doctors there could still be a chance that you are pregant, not all tests come back correct. even if your not the doctors will tell you wats up.
