People say i'm a good singer

People say I'm a really good singer (once, I was hanging out with my mom's boyfriend, jason, and he's in a band, and they're signed to no fun records and the guy that was producing their album asked me to sing for him and he said I was a really good...

singer), but, my best friend is like, amazing. She's been taking vocal lessons for around 1 or 2 years now, and has been singing professionally (karaoke contests, plays at school, etc.) for a year, and she says im horrible. Do you think it's jealousy or the truth? *I know this says a love relationships question, but it's a music question*

Collect opinions of those hearing you sing and you'll get enough to get a consensus - or get the opinion of a singing/voice coach or a minister of music at your church - they can test your vocal range and provide professional feedback...Take care !!

why would your friend say that? thats not what friends are for! she should be supporting you.
its most likely to be jealousy because she is afraid you will get better than her, and if you do then she will be upset as you will get the attention.
but I dont think anyone can know for sure. I dont even know what you sing like!
but dont give up if you think you are good dont let her bully you out of it!

Well everybody has their own sound if that makes any sence...record yourself singn to see what you think of urself personally..I know you can hear urself sing but its totally different when recorded..let a few people other than family and close friends hear it and see what they thnk...but it really matterz what you thnk...because once you get it in you that 'u can' then 'u will' hope this makes sence to you and I hope it helps
