How can I get my orchid to bloom again?

I received an orchid for Valentine's Day. It has been doing good and I mist it during the winter time and watered it as per the instructions. All of the flowers fell off and now I just have this flowerless orchid which I'm still watering. The green leaves are healthy and the stem of the orchid is still soft and not brittle. What am I suppose to do now, I really would like too see it bloom again. Any suggestion. The name of the orchid is Phalaenopsis.

Cut the stem after the last flowering notch but before the last stem notch. Put cinnamon on the fresh cut to prevent infection. It should start to rebloom again from that stem notch. When you water fill the pot with water let it soak for 5 seconds then dump the water right back out. Cover the top of the pot with your hand so the potting mixture doesn't all fall out. This is all the watering it needs once a week.
When your blooms fell off it sounds like it was over watered. I hope this helps. My Orchid blooms in December and the blooms stay until August, then reblooms in December again.
