On my period but going to a pool party

ok, I know I need 2 use tampons (for the 1st time) cause I'm going 2 a pool/ graduation party on saturday. what kind shud I get so I dont leak and so that I will be comfortable and avoid Toxic Shock Syndrome?
p.s. I know I shud avoid tampons with high absorbency 2 avoid TTS, but I dont want to leak in the pool and embarras myself...

You should wear super you wont get toxic shock symdrom unless you dont cahnge it within right after you get out of the pool up to six hours. I wouldnt worry its not a big deal, it might hurt alittle going in but thats normal. you should be fine ~

toxic shock syndrom is cause by wearing a tampon with too high absorbancy, not changing it withing afew hours, and if it breaks apart inside you
although rare, these are what can cause it to occur
it depends on your flow though
but try to get the lowest absorbancy you need
if you have a light flow, opt for a slim or super slim
theres a few different brands...libra, kotex, carefree...ect
if you have a heavy flow, youll need a bigger tampon

TSS is VERY RARE but if you use a tampon use the lowest absorbency to your flow if its full or your bleeding up the absorbency if it isnt filled much lower the absorbency
