Other people have it too, it isnt unusual, but NO, she shouldn't have it.
It could be an STD or Melanoma.
Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer. It begins in skin cells called melanocytes.
Melanocytes are the cells that make melanin, which gives skin its color. Melanin also protects the deeper layers of the skin from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.
When people spend time in the sunlight, the melanocytes make more melanin and cause the skin to tan. This also happens when skin is exposed to other forms of ultraviolet light (such as in a tanning booth). If the skin receives too much ultraviolet light, the melanocytes may begin to grow abnormally and become cancerous. This condition is called melanoma.
The first sign of melanoma is often a change in the size, shape, or color of a mole. But melanoma can also appear on the body as a new mole. In women, melanoma often develops on the lower legs. In dark-skinned people, melanoma often appears: under the fingernails or toenails, on the palms of the hands, on the soles of the feet.
Although these are the most common places on the body for melanomas to appear, they can appear anywhere on the skin. That's why it is important to always examine your skin to check for new moles or changes in moles.
With early diagnosis and treatment, the chances of recovery are very good.
The chance of getting melanoma increases as you get older, but people of any age can get melanoma. In fact, melanoma is one of the most common cancers in young adults. Each year, more than 50,000 people in the U.S. learn that they have melanoma.
Melanoma is a serious and sometimes life-threatening cancer. If melanoma is found and treated in its early stages, the chances of recovery are very good. If it is not found early, melanoma can grow deeper into the skin and spread to other parts of the body. This spread is called metastasis.
Once melanoma has spread to other parts of the body beyond the skin, it is difficult to treat.
So that is why it is important to ask her to see a doctor IMMEDIATELY!
Be kind, and don't call it "weird."
Ask her whether she has had sex, because it could be an STD.
Please get it seen to quickly.
whatever it is it isnt normal
if she has had sexx, it could very well be an sti or std that she hasnt got treated or tesated for
if you know shes had sex, or suspects she has
urge her to go to a doctor and get it checked out
whatever it is, it could end up doing harm to her reproductive organs if not treated
no she didn't have sex, she's 13...
and she's single, her mother knows everything about it, and she knows everything about it, she gets these spots from time to time, and I don't think it's cancer...
and IT IS weird!!! because I still didn't get the right answer that tells what this is, and explains what caused it!!
she only has it down there because if she had it somewhere else we could've seen it!!

Ok, so, my best friend has a wierd problem!!
Send me Fun Mail
She spent the weekend at my house (last week)
And she stays in the bathroom from around, ummm, half an hour (sometimes a whole hour) when I asked her why, and she refused to tell me at the beggenning, but started nagging naggging nagging and nagging, then she told me that she has black spots down there, I don't know why she said that it only goes away when she does something to it while she's taking her shower!!
What are these black spots??? and what causes them? And why does shehave to do "something" to herself down there just to let it go away, and why while showering?? is it normal?? what does she do in the bathroom during this whole damn hour??!!! I have to know everything about it!! She's not telling me a thing!!!
Ugh!!
