How to make pain go away from braces?

DOES ANY ONE HAVE BRACES ON THEIR TEETH AND CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THE PAIN GO AWAY? I have already tried hot water but it hurts still and its only temporary. I have tried Tylenol but it doesn't work ether! oh what to do. and tell me if you have braces!

I b proffen is the best thing you can take over the counter. you can safely take 800 milligrams every 4-6 hours.

yeah it only lasts about 2 days or for me it did, and then the pain will dissipate, but when you get new bands on it will repeat that process, yeah I b proffen works really good

I used tylenol and stuff like that and it works pretty good. I am getting my braces off on the 7th of april that is what the doctor tells me at least but im worried that will hurt so does anyone have any advice for that please tell me if you do.
