Hi,
Found this on their site:
*
Playstation 3
Find the PS3's adapter address:
1. Power up the PlayStation 3 without any disc in the drive.
2. Once the PlayStation 3 operating system has loaded, select "Settings."
3. Once you are in "Settings" select "Network Settings."
4. When the "Network Settings" list appears, select the first option which is titled "Settings and Connection Status List."
5. The physical address will be listed under "MAC Address."
Set your PS3's connection to static instead of dynamic, and plug the IP address in by hand. That's how I did it the other day. Mind you, you'll want the IP that the router presents to your friend's network, and not the one it presents to the Internet. Usually, routers use the IP address 192.168.0.1, or sometimes 192.168.1.1 instead.
On your PC, check the router's settings to learn which IP it uses to be sure. Sometimes the manufacturer will include software for configuring the router, but many do this via the network connection itself. For this, open a browser such as firefox or whatever, then type "http://192.168.0.1/..." into the address string. (minus the quote marks, of course.) If your router supports this, you'll get the configuration utility if you've guessed the correct IP.
