Newborn traveling on a plan at two or three months old, is that safe?

Asked by fortisabel over 2 years ago, 1 answer.

Hi, I'm from Colombia and I am going to have a baby girl early in August. As my parents can't come to see her, I want to visit them as soon as possible. If the baby travel with only 2 or 3 months will be dangerous for her health?

My family & I moved less than two months after our younger son was born. The plane ride was stressful, but not because of the newborn. We had been living overseas on business, and then moved back to the US shortly after the birth of our baby. He also flew later at around seven months old to visit my wife's family, and he was fine for that as well from what she said. He'll be four in May, and is doing fine

The baby should be OK - enjoy the trip, and family is always good to have around when a new baby arrives. My in laws were there for the birth of both of my boy's, and I think it was very helpful to have them around.

Thanks for posting ~thedude.
