This year Times Square in Manhattan was defiantly not the place to be! Firstly, there was like three or four checkpoints just so you could get in to the square. Then everyone was herded into this little pens and anyone who had a bag was turned back. Everyone was just standing there, no beer, no alcohol whatsoever. And once the ball dropped, everyone disappeared. Within twenty minutes the place was cleared!!! Has anyone ever seen Times Square clear so quickly. Everyone there was cold, and bored, and ready to get out once the ball fell. This New Yearâs was apparently the largest percentage of foreigners which have ever attended, and doesnât it make sense?! Most New Yorkers know better.
