New student in a new school as a freshman ! .. help ?!

Okhayy, so im going to grade 9 in just a few days, as a freshman ! im really scared .. Because im new, like I dont know anyone there . I hate it cause its grade 9, thats when everyone hangs in their 'cliques' or groups on the first day, I have...

no one, so im basically like a loner on the first day ..

Any tips on surviving the first day ? Or making new friends ? Etc .

my wife suggests you join an after school program to meet new people.

It can be scary. im going to be a freshmen too in 3 days!!
But first you have to know high school is where you find yourself, friends split apart and everything changes from their past grades..
Spliting into sports, clubs, and somthing that intrests everybody, you'll find people that have so much more in common with!
In a way everybody is starting over and so are you.. just keep your head upp and remember its going to be new for every freshmen!!

I remember that feeling. I was scared too. But someone who had felt the way long before I did, told me to take care of business that first day, and laugh at myself when some smarty senior took pleasure in giving me the wrong directions to class! Then to find the sign up sheet for extracurricular projects. Well, I got my roster straight, laughed twice when I was sent in the wrong direction and joined the school chorus and newspaper. Within a few days I was so busy that I forgot to be scared. I wasn't real pretty, popular etc., but I loved the rest of my life in highschool. I am still good friends with 3 old class mates and correspond with a dozen more. Just enjoy, learn, experience, mature and be happy. Good luck.

just sit around during lunch with no one at first. then start making friends in your classes. after that, you basically ask where they sit at lunch. well, it's all up to your discretion, of course.

have to make it work. start off by just saying hi, and making
brief conversations to people in some of your classes that look
friendly. then escalate from there (:
