How much do kitties cost?

We just adopted a new kitty in our house and it's my first pet! I was just wondering how much does it cost to vet it? and how much does it cost to be neutered?

You can call your vet and ask since prices vary from one place to another. At my vet, a visit is $33. A neuter is $90. Then there are various shots kitties have to get before being neutered. Those usually run about $10-15 each. Many places also require an FIV test, which is about another $30. So at my vet, the whole deal is about $200. It's not exactly inexpensive, but it's a one time thing. After that, you only have to take the kitty in if he gets sick or needs booster shots.
