Did neutering make my cat depressed?

Asked by fatjack07 6 months ago, 2 answers.

I had my male cat neutered about a month ago. He is approximatele 2years old.
He was just the same temperment when he came back for about 3weeks. Now
he is not meowing like before and seems 'depressed'. He is eating but is not
interested in going out. Is this a hormonal change or is something else going on?

He's not depressed...he may feel a little lost, tho...Finds himself meowing to go out, then realizes he can't remember why going out used to be so important...

It does take a little while for all the testosterone to be absorbed by the body...I think he's just going thru the changes from Tom Cattin' around, to being a homebody.
