How can I get my hair styled to achieve this look?

I want to get my hair cut to a pixie hair cut a very short hair style. Currently my hair is around my neck and chopped off on the sides without layers on the sides and I want to do it much shorter with lots of layers. What ways can I get it styled so I can acheive this? And I also have kind of fine hair but I have a little volume in it on top. Pls help. The picture I have is a little undated b/c my hair is shorter than that by the way.

Go to a hair salon and tell them what you want. Use the haircut by name since you know it. Since you have fine hair, ask her to cut it with a straight razor. This gives you that choppy feathered look and allows your hair to have a little bit of lift to it.
