Navel piercings is surface piercings?

Hello. Just heard that some navel piercings are consider the surface piercings..
So is mine a surface piercings? Do check out my piercing photo and leave me a comment yea?

I have my belly-button pierced and it doesn't actually go through my navel. I had it pierced slightly above the navel because the bar wouldn't suit comfortably on my belly-button else.
So yeah, in my case I actually have a surface piercing.
But I've seen a few people's navel piercings that go through the navel, and therefore is a belly-button one.
