Nancy reagan and her fractured pelvis

Does anyone know the prognosis for a fractured pelvis? Nancy Reagan fell and fractured hers yesterday, I was wondering if anyone has family or friends who had been through this? And if they recovered?

Well, my pelvis broke when I was pregnant for my second child. I guess because I was only 21 at the time, I was in good health, so I healed quickly and without complications. I can imagine it gets more difficult as you get older.

many elderly don't ever completely get over a broken hip or fractured pelvis. The rehab is very painful and in many cases it leads to depression and puts them on a downhill path.
