How to get my turtle to stop being such a picky eater?

I have a male red eared slider turtle, and he doesn't eat the food pellets, he only eats the worms, I want to feed my turtle a variety of foods but I don't want to waste money on buying him something and he ends up not eating it. I had brought him baby shrimps and he didn't eat it, should I just continue feeding him the worms?

I would suggest putting ONLY other types of food in there, and he will LEARN to eat whatever is given to him.

well, ya, naturally a turtle wouldnt eat pellets would they?
