Should I be afraid of getting a tongue piercing?

I really want my tongue done but I am scared of the paiin.
My mum saiid she wiill take me butt I dontt knoww I want to know iif the needle goiing through is paiinful :|

Yuo don't have to be afraid, it's fun wearing one. What you should know is that you do have to be careful because you can break or crack your teeth. You can also wear out your inner gums with time, as you get older you will regret it.

I just got it done in january.
and they don't use a needle.
they used the tongue ring itself.
its the least painful piercing.

I've heard people say that it was painful but it probably depends a lot on the person, your pain threshold, how much enthusiasm you have for the proceedure, the skill of your piercer and the gauge of the needle.

Pain is part of the body modification scene. If exotic piercings weren't painful than they wouldn't be as exclusive. Having a pierced tongue tells the world that you are willing to endure pain, not being to kiss your boyfriend for 6 weeks, willing to risk damage to your teeth and gums, and talking funny until the swelling goes down so you can be different from everyone else.

My friend has tones of piercings and she nearlly cried having her tounge done.

Of course, see how some have become infected and swell horribly? Fads pass quickly. No need to fall for them and shame on your mother, for allowing it! Maybe she should say, 'ONE piercing, how about putting ten in it', what is the difference? It is all mutilation of a perfect body.

I wouldnt say it hurts - its a weird feeling.. but mine stang for a bit.. and my tongue swelled up HUGGGEEE.. for agers..
was quite funny. but.. I souldnt worry about it - I worried about it and cried for no reason becuas eim a bit of a pansy when it comes to needles and stuff.. but im sure u'll be fine - unless they pierce one of your veins in you tongue and you die.. not very funny is it.. lol and this is me trying to tell you not to worry.. aslong as the needles clean! :D gd luck x

its not that bad when you the needle goes through
your tongue gets swollen afterward though and it kind of hurts
but its not that bad
just make sur you go to a reliable parlor
and make sur you listen to their cleaning instructions
my friend and I both got outs done at the same time
but she had to take hers out bc she didnt clean it right
so he tongue got swollen and the ring chipped her tooth
so be careful
and next time you see a dentist
ask them about what you can do to avoid f***ing up your teeth
