***God gave him the instructions of exactly what to make it out of and to the exact measurements.***

Any idea how many different species of animal is on the face of this Earth today? All the different mammals, insects, reptiles etc? Then think of all the animals that have gone extinct... how big would that boat have to be, *realistically* to fit all those animals on? Sorry, doesn't sound humanly possible. Three hundred cubits by fifty cubits by thirty cubits *would not* fit. I find River Tam said it best when she said Your bible is broken- contradictions, false logistics... it doesn't make sense. Perhaps if people recognised it doesn't make sense, and opened their minds to logic and reason, they would realise how unrealistic the whole idea is.

***seriously though open a bible.***

Seriously though, open your brain.

***arachnid toadaly , not here to debat you...your lack of faith is obvious throughout this whole site, so dont ditch on those who do believe and have faith and do believe God's word!***

People feel the need to spread the word of 'God', why are atheists unable to spread the word of science, logic and reason?

***Omg , seriously just stfu already! if you dont even have a religion or believe in anything, why bother posting sh*t on threads about God, just to try and disprove people?***

Arachnid just made a valid point, and you're basically sticking your fingers in your ears and singing lalalalalala! because you don't like what you hear. Rather juvenile of you.

***To shove YOUR beliefs down OUR throats and then turn around and accuse us of doing it?***

Atheists don't have beliefs, they have understandings backed up by solid evidence. This question asks for opinions on how Noah built an ark, the atheist community is merely pointing out how illogical the whole thing is. I wouldn't sit by and watch someone give out information I knew was highly improbable, would you?

***F*ck your right to post here, make yourself useful for goodness sake.***

As opposed to your hate-spewing posts on other threads? As far as I'm concerned (and I know I'm not alone in thinking this), they at least post valid information on here, as opposed to your immature retorts like 'stfu'. They make themselves useful by spreading the knowledge/facts/logic. You embarrass yourself by insulting people instead of providing evidence (beyond a book full of contradictions) to support your claims.

Noah had deep religious beliefs, and he did not keep them to himself.

The Bible says that he was “a preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5)

Undoubtedly, Noah expected opposition.
His great-grandfather Enoch was a righteous man who foretold that God would execute judgment against the wicked. Evidently, this brought persecution against Enoch, though God did not permit his opposers to kill him.
( see Genesis 5:18, 21-24; Hebrews 11:5; 12:1; Jude 14, 15)
With Satan, the demons, the Nephilim, and most of the people either indifferent or opposed to him, Noah needed courage as well as faith in Jehovah’s ability to safeguard him.

Noah was “a preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5)

Noah’s preaching evidently included a call for repentance and a warning of coming destruction. Jesus said that the people of Noah’s day “took no note until the flood came and swept them all away.”—Matthew 24:38, 39.

Virtually all the people of the pre-Flood world were distracted and “took no note” of Noah’s warnings. The consequence was that “The flood came and swept them all away.”

Jesus warned that our day, during “the presence of the Son of man,” would be similar.

What happened in Noah’s day serves as a stark warning for people today who choose not to heed God’s message.—Matthew 24:39.

Note* This is just the Biblical facts as outlined in the different scriptures. In no
way is it meant to insult.

Genesis 6:13-22 (God's blueprints)
Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch. This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. Behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish. But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.” Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did. ”

Anyone with a little common sense can realise that the idea is preposterous on so many levels: The engineering required wasn't available (and the boat would have to be so colossal that even now it's not practical), and the idea that every living animal lived within walking distance of Noah's house is preposterous.

It's still completely absurd that one could build such a boat - even with 'divine blueprints'. I'm not sure we could build it today, even. And still it doesn't address the issue of how all the animals got there in the first place.

The kangaroos swam over and helped. That also explains how they got to the boat.

It's not a matter of faith. You're asserting that something totally absurd is true, without evidence, and we're calling you out on it.

I'm not shoving my belief - or lack thereof - down anyone's throat. I'm simply pointing out what's logically possible and what's not. If you believe in something that's false, wouldn't you want to know? I certainly would.
