What are the laws now in effect for owning a pitbull? Do you have to have insurance? How much? And where can I get it?

It depends on the region. Here in Miami, they're Illegal, which means the government can fine you $5,000 if you ahve one, and /or take them away to destroy (kill) them. It's gross.

In neighboring counties, you must pay extra insurance.
