My pc is slow

I have an intel pentium dual cpu,e2200 @ 2.20ghz,2.19ghz,0.99gb of ram. 250gb hard-drive and a lg super multi disc drive. With all this, my computer is still slow,when I wanna open my browse page(firefox),it takes a lot of time. And when I wanna perform...

this action when music is playing, the music starts playing as a scratched cd plays for a moment and continues normally. I use a norton anti-virus. So I don't really know why all these happens ,whereas on normal bases it should not. Please help me out!! What step should I take next???

O_o my PC has way lower stats than that (about 6 years old) and it works pretty well

you most probably have a virus norton cannot find
download kaspersky or nod 32 and use the 30 day trial to scan your PC they will find what norton hasnt

Hi,
one thing that I will advice (if you dont want to format your computer)...download the software named TUNE UP-2008 or any other version from site http://www.software.com .its a freeware so download it.run all the present tuning facility present on it.
from my point of view that is the only remedy.
