My little brother won't stop swearing

My brother is 10 years old, he has learnt swearwords from his friends. Whenever he gets in a temper, he's all f*** this and f*** that- like, right now, I'm listening to him go on about the PS2 game not working- and it sounds absolutely horrible. I've tried reasoning with him, I've told him I don't like it. But that hasn't exactly worked. Even when I try to help him, he shoves me away and says I can't help, I am too f***ing stupid. Mum doesn't do that much to stop him, I am the one he listens to more about stuff like that in the house. Is there a way I can try stop this without losing my own temper?

Do yoga, or do something to release all his anger. It works for me.

have you ever read harris and me well in the book they just slapp harris every time he swears and if you do that to your brother he will soon stop swearing hoped I helped

I think give him a consquence everytime he swears. like he has to go to his room, he's grounded, or like butercup said, slap him. but not hard of course.

ummm...slapping could work...but do you really want to slap him??...I'd say sit him down or yell at him. look at him and be real serious, and ask him what's gotten into him and that you honestly hate him swearing all around the house!!... and he might as well live on the streets if he speaks nothing but trash!!... I dunno why but threats seem to work on kids.

as for your mom...I'd talk to her about trying to disipline her son as well!! how is she to get respect around the house if she dosent lay down rules about no swearing?? (not trying to be/sound mean... it's just that you shouldn't deal with all the problems around the house)
