How can i fix my hair to the right shade?

I have naturally dark brown hair, and have highlighted so much that everything looks blonde but the roots. How do I get back to an equal, brown with blonde highlights??

If you start getting low-lights along with highlights when you get your hair done- you won't find yourself suddenly referred to as 'the blond' instead of the brunette.
