That sometimes happens to me too (its itches and then swells)...I think its because I'm allergic to something...I usually rub ice on it or put toothpaste on it.

Well, if you want the myth about it, I can tell you that. If your hand (or fingers) itch it means money is coming your way. Of course thats an old wives tale, but you never know... lol.
