My dad likes hunting more than me

My mom and dad split up when I was 6years old. I live with my mom and I still get to see my dad. My dad is a hunter and is obsesed with it. I feel like he loves hunting more than me! I was in the school play *it was Aladding Jr.* I played a narrator it was not that big of a part but I was a main one. We had 2 shows and my dad didnt show up to either one of them. And here is why. He WAS HUNTING!!!
I cried for about 3hours. I feel stupid that I cried. But it really hurt. AM I stupid for crying?

You are not stupid for crying.
Let your dad know how you feel when he does hunting.
Ask him that when you see him he will not go hunting.
You mean a lot to him, so he should understand.

One day your dad will be sorry...try not to let it get to you...easier said than done but try...understand that parents are not perfect at all! they make mistakes! sometimes the choices we make are not good ones...you are not stupid! this is probably only one of the reasons your parents split up...your mom had to deal with him too... ask someone at church to attend school functions...youth director...etc other people would probably have liked the program...Dad is a fool...pray for him and ask God to deal with him...leave it there...
